Commiphora myrrha (Wild Myrrh)

The scent of Myrrh essential oil is reminiscent of incense, undergrowth with hints of liquorice. It is recognized for its regenerating virtues in cosmetics.

 



REGENERATING (all skin types) 

Instructions: use 0.5% and 1% maximum for the face and between 1% and 2% for the body in a FLORAME vegetable oil and apply in light massage morning and / or evening.


The Plant:

In Somalia, there is a shrub called balsam tree that exudes a resin that solidifies on contact with air. Extracts of this resin gum are traditionally used as an oral pain reliever in West Africa and Saudi Arabia. It is from this resin obtained by incision and then dried that we extract the essential oil of myrrh known for its calming properties.


Caution :

 

  • Do not use while pregnant or breast feeding, nor for children under 7.
  • Do not use for people who have a past history of seizures (convulsions) and / or essential oils allergies.
