Citronella essential oil is known to have cleansing and relaxing properties.
A doctor in the 17th century successfully used it as an antiseptic. The traditional uses in Asia are multiple: painkiller, aroma for cooking, digestive tonic, insect repellant. It is the grass once in bloom that is harvested for a slow distillation by steam without pressure. Its scent is a mixture of lemon and geranium.
Caution :
Do not use while pregnant or breast feeding, nor for children under 7.
Do not use for people who have a past history of seizures (convulsions) and / or essential oils allergies.
