The distillation of the leaves of the "favorite fruit of elephants", according to the translation of its Sanskrit name nagarunga, gives a bitter-sweet scent. It is called bitter orange leaf essential oil.

Bitter Orange Leaf essential oil is soothing and relaxing. It is also known for its regenerating virtues.

For foodstuffs: limited uses. Use at 0.01% at the most (approximately 2 drops for 1kg of foodstuff).
